At our studio, learning goes beyond the classroom. We regularly arrange opportunities for our students to participate in public performances, recitals, and music competitions. We believe that performing on stage not only builds confidence but also encourages goal-setting, discipline, and artistic expression. Our students are guided and supported to showcase their talents in various local festivals and competitions, celebrating their growth and achievements.

Monthly fees for instrumental and vocal lessons:
$140.00 per 4-weeks for 30 minutes private lessons
$200.00 per 4-weeks for 45 minutes private lessons
$260.00 per 4-weeks for 60 minutes private lessons
Theory Level 5 – 6 & Level 7 – 8 group class:
$485 (14 lessons/ total 28 hours) and
$80 + HST (books & materials)

Violin teacher
Grace Zhao
Grace has over 20 years of experience playing the violin. Her extensive performance experience includes participating in orchestras, chamber music groups, and individual recitals. This rich background has given her a deep understanding of a wide range of musical styles and techniques, allowing her to bring a wealth of knowledge to her teaching.
Grace holds a Master of Music from the University of Ottawa. She has had the privilege of studying under several renowned violinists and educators, including Timothy Chooi and Yehonatan Berick, further honing her skills and expanding her knowledge. Her educational background has equipped her with a solid foundation in both performance and pedagogy, making her a well-rounded teacher. Grace’s academic achievements and continuous professional development ensure that she stays updated with the latest teaching methodologies and performance practices.
Grace’s teaching philosophy is centered around fostering a love for music in her students. She believes in a tailored approach, meeting each student’s unique needs and goals. Grace has taught students in both China and Canada, gaining extensive experience working with diverse student populations. She emphasizes the importance of developing strong technical skills while also encouraging musical expression and creativity. Grace aims to create a supportive and inspiring environment where students feel motivated to practice and improve. Her patience and dedication ensure that her students not only develop their violin skills but also cultivate a lifelong appreciation for music.

Violin & Viola teacher
Joseph Wu
Joseph is a violinist, violist and conductor from Hong Kong. He premiered Piazzola’s Four Seasons
with String Appassionata, and has been performing around the world including Japan, China,
Czechoslovakia, Vienna and the USA.He has also served as an adjudicator of different music
competitions. Joseph has been participating orchestras in GTA including guest concertmaster of North York
Concert Orchestra, Chinese Artists Society of Toronto(also board member), guest violinist of
Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, guest violinist/violist of Ontario Cross-Cultural Music Society and Windsor Symphony Orchestra.
Joseph has extensive teaching experiences. His inspirational teaching method has won him Outstanding Teaching Award in the International Music and Arts Competition 2011. He has conducted students’ recitals, namely ‘Enlightening’, with local famous instrumentalists. All the ‘Enlightening’ recitals have received high acclaims. He has also been invited to host music education seminars in various music schools, and was the ‘Star Tutor’ of Parsons Music (Hong Kong) in 2018. Now he is actively teaching private students and ensemble class and he held student’s recital at Steinway Piano Gallery and his students achieved RCM ARCT level and won competitions.
Joseph has been appointed the conductor of a string orchestra, and various youth and school orchestras. From 2012, he has been the Principal Conductor of the Hong Kong International Youth Philharmonia. He led HKIYP to perform in major galas and for a music tour to Taiwan in 2014. He also conducted the world premier concert ‘Nutcracker’ featuring animation Dustykid in 2015 which received huge applause.

Piano teacher
Ted Yim Tin Lok
Ted Yim Tin Lok is a passionate piano educator with over 16 years of teaching and performing experience. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance Pedagogy from The Education University of HK, a Master of Arts from The Chinese University of HK, and a Distinction in ATCL Piano Performance from Trinity College London.
A registered teacher in Hong Kong, Ted previously served as Head of Music and Guidance in local primary schools, leading students to success in numerous music competitions.
In recognition of his innovation in education, Ted has received multiple teaching and educator awards both locally and internationally. He is also a frequent speaker at education conferences and arts education summits, where he shares his expertise in innovative teaching practices and curriculum design.
Renowned for his ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and parents, Ted creates engaging, student-centered lessons tailored to individual needs. He teaches classical, pop, improvisation, integrative arts, and composition, nurturing musicality and technique in a joyful, supportive environment.

Piano teacher
Eva Lam
Eva has been playing the piano since she was six years old and has developed a deep appreciation for music. After completing the certificate from The Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music, she also studied a certificate course on Teaching Music for School Teachers, which included practicum and a thesis on innovative teaching methods.
Eva loves teaching children and watching them discover the joy of music. She has shared her passion for music through teaching at various piano institutions and elementary schools. She employs a variety of approaches to teach students of all ages and backgrounds, and she is dedicated to providing high-quality music education. She instructs students on piano techniques, music reading, and music theory. Additionally, she selects appropriate pieces to inspire students’ interest and help them overcome
challenges.

May Ho
Born and raised in Hong Kong, May began her piano class at the age of 6. She obtained various performance and theory diplomas including LTCL in Piano Recital and AmusTCL in Theory from Trinity College London and DipABRSM in Piano Performance from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She has taught as a piano teacher in one of the largest music centres in Hong Kong and privately for over 8 years. And her music teaching journey has not stopped as she relocated to Canada in 2022!
May’s teaching philosophy is to inspire a lifelong passion for music in every child through a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel encouraged to explore and express themselves freely through music, building confidence and self-esteem along their music journey. Parental involvement is highly welcomed as it is vital to children’s growth to reach their highest potential. She looks forward to meet all the young music talents for years to come!

Yan Chan
Miss Yan, a passionate piano teacher and performer with over 20 years of experience, starting piano at age 4 and obtaining her Grade 8 Piano certification from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in 2010. With 8 years of teaching experience in both private and group lessons in Hong Kong and Toronto, she is confident in guiding students patiently and providing constructive feedback that helps them improve. Drawing on her background in early childhood education, she creates a supportive, engaging learning environment that fosters each student’s unique abilities. She believes every student learns differently, so she adapt her teaching to suit individual needs and learning styles. Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, she can connect with a diverse range of students and inspire them to enjoy and grow in their musical journey.

Piano & Theory teacher
Manfred Ho
Manfred Ho holds two ATCL diplomas in piano (with distinction) and vocal, and the AMusTCL music theory diploma from Trinity College London. He graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a minor in Music. Manfred is a hand-bell ringer and conductor with more than 15 years of experience in ringing and teaching the art of hand-bells. He has led the school hand-bell ensemble of Evangel College (Hong Kong) to perform in the 21 st International Hand-bell Symposium in Hamamatsu, Japan. He composes and arranges for hand-bell and also other forms of music. Apart from hand-bells, he also teaches mainly piano and music theory. Through music education, Manfred hopes to share the joy of music. His goal is to help every student to truly love playing music and enjoy the process of learning. Students can learn the necessary techniques and develop musicality through Manfred’s lessons.

Violin Teacher
Ken Chow
Ken Chow is a passionate violinist and educator with over a decade of teaching experience in Hong Kong and Canada. He has guided students through ABRSM and RCM examinations, helping them progress from the early stages to advanced levels. His lessons focus on building a solid foundation in technique and tone production, while also encouraging students to develop their own musical voice. In addition to teaching, Ken is an active performer. He currently plays with Orchestra Toronto and has previously performed with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Orchestra and the Shatin Philharmonic Orchestra.
Drawing from both his performance background and years of teaching, Ken creates lessons that are structured, supportive, and adaptable to each student’s needs. He aims to instill confidence, discipline, and a genuine appreciation for music that extends beyond the classroom.
